Mentorship & education

Rebecca’s style of teaching is very informative & encouraging.
I was amazed at her deep knowledge and passion for photography.

At different points of my photography journey I really felt like I was alone on an island (which I technically was since Taiwan is an island) without contacts to provide clear critical critique of my work. And this is where mentorship became a huge part of my photography journey. I was able to reach out and receive direction and feedback about where my style and voice were going. I’m so excited to be in a place to provide similar support and encouragement to other photographers.

  • Are you trying to take the next steP on your photography journey, but aren't sure where to head?

  • Have you received a new dslr but aren't sure how to create the images you want?

I'm here to help with online mentorship and in-person photography EDUCATION!

My specialties include photographing children and families living their everyday & extraordinary adventures, simultaneously utilizing composition to create unique art.

I'm available to work with photographers of all levels to discuss their work (personal and or professional) and am experienced in reviewing professional designation portfolios as well as critiquing your work for areas in which you can focus on during your photography journey.

in person intro to digital photography course

Teaching and discussing photography are two of my favorite things, and I have developed a 4 hour in person workshop that covers the ins and outs of how to use your digital slr or mirrorless camera. We spend part of the class reviewing my custom workbook and being hands on with your camera to work through how to adjust the manual settings on your camera.

Although I have used a DSLR for years and have struggled to understand prior teaching, and how to shoot in manual mode. This class was the first to really bring it all together in a way I understood.  I now feel like I can shoot in manual mode and know what I am supposed to do!  Words like F-stop now mean something, and knowing what shutter speed or aperture to start out with in different situations is something I didn’t think I’d ever understand.  It has been an invaluable class and I look forward to playing with my camera and taking even more pictures!  Thank you Rebecca!!  If only I’d known this when my kids were little!!
