At Laurelhurst Park in Portland Oregon
We’re very fortunate in Portland to have lovely photo locations in all seasons…but there is something special about fall in a meaningful location for a family. Fall is such a beautiful time of year, and its even more special when you are celebrating big family events!
I loved how these brothers interacted with their now one year old little sister!
Her first birthday was one of the milestones the family was commemorating with their family photos!
This lovely couple was also celebrating their 10 year anniversary!!

When the family moved to Portland they spent a lot of time at Laurelhurst park, exploring the grassy areas, and the pond. They wanted to include this location due to it’s high personal significance to their family.
The ducks in the pond really did add lots of fun and laughter to the session! Who can not smile watching ducks flip underwater looking for food!
This session started off in the colorful yellow fall leaves, then we went to the duck pond, and finally finished up in a large grassy field surrounded by the evergreen trees the Pacific northwest is famous for.
One food Portland is famous for is donuts!!
And this sweet family loves to purchase donuts from their favorite local donut shop right by the park! When the mother and I were planning the session and she mentioned wanting to include donuts, I was so psyched! Its the sugar on top of a great family session!
