Before Your Photo Session

While preparing for each and every lifestyle family, maternity, and newborn photography session, there are some specific items that I bring to the session to ensure I’m prepared for any contingency, and will be able to photograph your session and delivery the beautiful gallery you expect.

The first is that I bring multiple camera bodies and lenses to the shoot. Sometimes I use both camera bodies, but not always. The reason I do this is so that in case of an equipment failure, I will always have more than one camera able to create your lovely images. I also bring multiple lenses which can shoot in a variety of situations.

I also bring multiple empty memory cards and charged camera batteries so I’m prepared for anything!

During Your Shoot

While photographing your session I’m actually saving all images onto two memory cards simultaneously. This ensures that if there were ever a card failure, your images are recorded on another card! So, I’m creating a backup of your images during your session!

After Your Session

Once I get home from your session I immediately download your images onto my computer’s external hard drive for editing. Once this transfer is complete, I then run TWO different backups on my system. I run one external hard drive on site duplicate backup, and I also run a second backup to the cloud.

After Your Images Are Delivered

Once I have finished editing your photos, and have delivered your finally gallery I have one additional backup system in place. I will maintain your files backed-up in an archive of your online gallery for one year (which can be re-activated for 30 days for a one time fee).

Systems In Place

I pride myself in having systems in place to protect the time and monetary investment that you have made to create beautiful family photos. With these systems in place I’m prepared for any contingency and your image files are safe during the preparation before, during your photo session, and after your shoot when your images are being edited and delivered.

I’d love to chat with you about creating beautiful family memories. Please reach out via my contact & book page to discuss your dream family photo session!
