What are MODERN SCHOOL portraits?
A short-and-sweet, stress-free portrait experience that lets your child or teen be themselves.
No “cheese” smiles. I keep things easy and playful to bring out genuine expressions.
Photographed on a simple grey background so the focus stays on your student. If their vibe is thoughtful rather than smiley, that’s perfect—I’ll capture them exactly as they are.

How it works…

1 child = book 1 time slot
2+ children = book 1 slot per child
Want sibling photos together?
Add +1 slot for the group images.
Example: 2 kids + sibling photos → book 3 slots.Big families (5+ kids): book 4 slots; I’ll photograph everyone within that window.

RESERVE YOUR SPOT
Complete the short intake form for your student(s).
Pay the $45 deposit per time slot (this becomes a credit toward prints or digital images).
Your time isn’t held until payment is made. You’ll get a confirmation email as soon as it’s processed.

This session is great for all students ages 6 months to seniors in high school.

Here is a great resource about what to wear for picture day: Modern Portrait Wardrobe Guide. Siblings should coordinate but do not need to perfectly match.
Suggested not to wear: logos, large graphics, or text. Stay away from grey colored clothing as it will blend into the backdrop. Steer clear of solid fluorescent colored shirts as they will create strange color casts on skin.

Not your average sibling photo shoot!
Do you often try to get wall worthy photos of your kids? They’re such treasures, and that makes this the perfect photo session for siblings! Plus, you’re already here and ready for photos!
Within a 5-10 minute session I’ll interact with your children, asking them fun facts about each other, and encourage their connection to shine, capturing the love, fun relationship, and unique dynamics between your kids. You’ll be able to see their special relationship and enjoy the photos for years to come. The sibling photos also coordinate well with their individual modern school portraits to make a modern and timeless wall gallery for your home and Grandparents too! The experience and quality of the photos with Rebecca Hunnicutt Photography is difficult to compare to many of the big box photo companies.
You will receive a gallery of multiple different facial expressions, in both horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) orientation, edited and available to purchase in both color and black + white versions.
You are supporting a local business while purchasing photos you will be proud to display on your walls and gift to family and friends. By working with Rebecca annually you will have a cohesive set of images to display and enjoy each year.

I believe that the essence of a personality is rarely captured in a “cheese” smile. With a quick, fun and relaxed approach to portraits, I am able to capture more natural expressions and emotions of your child. I provide enough time for your child to become comfortable with me and the photography environment, and quickly put children at ease while never forcing them to pose or smile in a way that feels uncomfortable. A per time slot deposit of $39 will be collected upon booking and can be utilized as a credit towards print and/or digital products. Individual prints start at $15, packages start at $38. Individual digital files and whole albums are available for purchase starting at $45.

Your student’s photos will first be delivered via a secure online gallery 1-2 weeks after picture day.
Can’t decide? The entire digital gallery is offered for purchase with every image included, as well as à la carte items including metal prints, canvases, and professional retouching.
Digital file purchases will be delivered immediately via email after the sale is processed. Print products will be available for pickup at my in home studio 2-3 weeks after the gallery ordering deadline.

I aim to make this photo session as safe as possible for everyone. I am fully vaccinated, and if indicated/requested, I will wear a mask throughout the session, as well as maintain 6ft. of distance. The session will be conducted in a big white outdoor tent, or my home studio with plenty of ventilation. If any member of the photographers or students household is exposed to Covid-19 or suspected of being ill, the session will be rescheduled without penalty.
