Family Fun & Photos At Cathedral Park & Willamette River Waterfront

Do you worry that family photo sessions will be stressful for you and your family??

I sure hope not, as I aim to have each session be fun filled, and that you all leave with smiles on your faces!

Doesn’t it look like this family was having fun at Cathedral Park? From the first moment we met we had a blast, and were running and jumping around the park.

Incorporating children’s hobbies and interests is a great way to get them more invested in the family photo session, and increases their excitement about having their picture taken. Check out this guys skateboard!

Family tickle fights really bring out the smiles for everyone!

I always aim to get authentic portraits of parents during family photo sessions. This couple was having such a blast they didn’t even know I took their photo together!

During every family photo session I always take quick and fun portraits of the kids together and individually. And as you can see everyone was enjoying the photo session on this lovely Portland fall day.

I tell families before their session to come prepared to run, skip, and jump during their photos…and we did it all during this family shoot.

Next we headed down to the waterfront for a bit more FUN!

I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to document my young clients awesome gold Converse sneakers! The contrast with the riverfront rocks was so great!

Before leaving they wanted to show me their favorite stuffed animals. I love how happy they are to include them in their family photo session, and I know that these images will be treasures for years to come!
