Some Of My Favorite Photography Related Gifts Anyone Can Give/Receive
*Updated November 2025
So…as a photographer who really loves her job, I can’t help but think of photography related gifts for everyone I know. And, I thought that you may find some inspiration on this list as well which includes gifts for your extended family, your kids (of all ages), tweens/teens, and adult loved ones.
For Family
A photo session gift certificate
Do you have a family member who would love a photo session, but just doesn’t book it themselves? Help them out with a gift certificate towards a family, maternity, or newborn photo session! Just contact me and I’ll send you a gift certificate in your desired denomination.
Framed Updated Photo Of Your Family
Extended family always loves to receive updated photos of each other, but when they are received via email only, it’s a struggle to print, frame, and display those images. So, I encourage you to print a favorite photo from your most recent photo session, frame it, and deliver it ready to be displayed to your family members. Table top sizes of photos are 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10. Wall sizes are 11x14 and larger, just for reference. Have questions about cropping your photos for print? Here is a guide with everything you need to know about crop ratios when printing photos.
An extended family photo session, paired with an album
You know that moment where everyone’s finally in the same place at the same time - the grandparents, siblings, spouses, and a bunch of loud, giggling, cousins racing through the yard? That’s magic. And if you’ve ever tried to snap a quick photo during the chaos of family get-together, you’ve probably thought: “We need a real photo session for this.” That that is what makes it a perfect gift! Read my extended family photo guide here.
For Children
I love photography related children’s books and toys, and have included some of my favorites here.
For Tween/Teens
Photography Camp Enrollment
Photography camps and classes are a real enjoyable activity for tweens and teens. They can get hands on experience using a digital camera, adjusting the settings for proper exposure, learn composition techniques, camera care, and creative methods for creating photos. Each summer I offer 1-2 photography camps in the Portland area, and you could purchase a gift certificate for your student for the holidays.
