Why I Created
Moments In The City…
Living and traveling overseas with my daughters changed the way I saw the world.
Wherever we went, I found myself drawn to colorful walls, interesting doorways, graphic staircases, beautiful light, and the little details that make a place feel alive. We'd often stop for just a few minutes to make a photograph before continuing our day.
Those quick photographs became some of my favorite images I've ever created.
They're the photographs that still make me smile years later.
Moments in the City grew from that same way of seeing.
It's a series of short, creative portrait sessions inspired by color, place, and personality, using thoughtfully chosen city locations as the backdrop.
What Are ‘Moments In The City’?
Each month, I'll choose one thoughtfully selected Portland location and build a creative portrait experience around a different place, season, or idea.
Together we'll spend 10-15 relaxed minutes creating a small collection of intentional portraits that celebrate your family and the character of the city around us.
Every collection is different.
Every location tells its own story.

An Evening Walk in Downtown Portland
Some of the best summer memories begin with a simple walk together.
Warm sidewalks.
The glow of evening light through the trees.
Holding hands while crossing the street.
Kids hopping from one painted line to the next.
Pausing for just a moment before continuing on your way.
There’s something about a summer evening in the city that invites us to slow down.
For the very first Moments in the City collection, we're celebrating the feeling of summertime in downtown Portland…the quiet moments that happen between destinations, when families are simply together.
We'll wander together, creating playful, natural portraits inspired by the city around us.
Not rushed.
Not overly posed.
Just beautiful moments, thoughtful guidance, and photographs that feel relaxed, genuine, and full of life.
Because sometimes the photographs you'll treasure most aren't about where you were going.
They're about who you were with along the way.

We’ll meet at the moments in the city location and spend 10-15 minutes creating playful, natural portraits that capture your family’s love and connection.

Within 1–2 weeks, you’ll receive your online gallery.
Enjoy:
Choose your 10 images, and download immediately - with the option to purchase additional digital files and wall art.
